WE GROW MORE THAN FRUIT
WE GROW COMMUNITIES

Since our inception in 1970 our success has been directly related to the wellbeing of our workers and their families. This is why we at Turbana have been actively involved in improving the quality of life in the banana growing regions through our social foundation, Fundauniban.
Your purchase directly contributes to projects that range from education, housing, micro-loans, to health and environment protection, and directly affect thousands of workers and their families. Thank you.

SUSTAINABLE FARM INITIATIVES

Rational use and recycling of water, low use and careful handling of agrochemicals, collection of plastics and packaging among others.

MY PERSONAL STORY

Through the "One Laptop Per Child" program, Turbana has donated 1800 laptops to 3,706 children in kindergarten through fifth grade from 8 educational institutions in Uraba, Colombia. These low cost laptops, specifically designed for underdeveloped countries, help develop skills, knowledge and connectivity with the world.

Gladys Adriana Ruz, one of the school teachers, says:
"What Turbana and Fundauniban have been doing towards education is very meaningful because they offer these children better opportunities in life by giving them access to the world through technology." (Translated from Spanish)
